We began recording around 09.45 with a Soundscape for One Time, then Fantasia On The Theme Of Schizoid…

… metal parts for Schizoid pumped through a Marshall on 11.5…

… which seemed to meet with the approval of the team inside the control room…

Finally Realside, the 10 Seconds’ classic.

My brain went dead around 12.35. Lunchbreak with Jeff & now the 50-piece string orchestra is recording the arrangements for One Time.

Of course you’re thinking "what’s Fish got to do with KC?"  Well, when asked what he considered to be the first prog album by Classic Rock Magazine, this is what he said "The one that really came to my attention was In The Court of the Crimson King.  That was the first fully armoured progressive album."

When KC were playing Friar’s at Aylesbury in 1981, a young man standing at the front of the stage gave me a cassette of his then unknown, and unsigned, band - Marillion.
